AI for Justice and Safety: Centering the Global Response to Violence Against Women and Girls – Side Event on the Margins of CSW70
The United Nations Association of the Inland Empire is proud to serve as an official partner for a parallel event at the 70th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW70) titled AI for Justice and Safety: Centering the Global Response to Violence Against Women and Girls.
This hybrid event, hosted at Microsoft in Times Square, New York, and accessible online, brings together global leaders, policymakers, technologists, and advocates to explore how ethical artificial intelligence can strengthen prevention, protection, and justice for women and girls facing violence worldwide.
As Chair of Programming for UNA-USA Inland Empire and a global leader in trauma-informed care and ethical AI, Dr. Estera Borcsa will participate as a panel speaker. She will share insights on how neuroscience-informed, ethical AI applications can support healing, improve safety, and inform systems that protect vulnerable populations. Her work through Teach Train Transform International demonstrates how innovation can be used responsibly to advance human dignity, interrupt cycles of trauma, and promote sustainable peace.
This event reflects the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 5 on Gender Equality and Goal 16 on Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions. By convening cross-sector partners, the program highlights the importance of ethical technology, global collaboration, and survivor-centered approaches in addressing violence against women and girls.
UNA-USA Inland Empire is honored to contribute to this global dialogue and to amplify solutions that advance safety, equity, and human rights for all
