President’s Message

AMBASSADOR Col. Dr. Ike M. I. Khamisani

“Ike” M. I. KHAMISANI joined United Nations’ Association more than twenty-five years ago as founding member, after actively serving in Calcutta Civil Defense, Karachi Boys Scout, LEO CLUB, LIONS CLUB, JAYCEES, Society for International Development and ROTARY. Throughout his career he served at various key positions and    led delegations to international events including United Nation’s DPI/NGO Conference, WFUNA (World Federation of United Nations’ Association) Plenary Sessions in New York and globally.

 

He is Member Board of Executive Committee of Southern California Division of the United Nations’ Association of the United States of America since 2008. He is President of United Nations’ Association of the United States   of America, Inland Empire, California since 2009.

 

In his long and active association, since very young age and over 50 years with HUMANITARIAN organizations locally and     internationally, he served and organized remarkable events/projects around the globe engaging community      from different walks of life. He held events like on Adopt a Future, Adopt a Minefield, World Refugee day, World Health day, Earth day, UN Day, Human rights day, International Women’s Day, Israel/Palestine conflict resolution, Millennium Development Goals, My World Post 2015 Sustainable Development Goals, Peace festival between INDIA and Pakistan, Prisoners’ rights, Disabled rights, International Red Cross/Crescent Society, Kidney donation drive, Eye camps and Webinar series on Pandemic. He participated in Congresses, Conferences, Workshops, Seminars with renowned International and local organizations including United Nations Association.

 

His RENOWNED resolution on Israel/Palestine Conflict was passed and approved in UNA National  Convention of 2009 in Washington DC which became USA state department policy document. In recognition and appreciation, he was awarded with title of “DIPLOMATE” and “AMBASSADOR” for Goodwill and Peace. His skilled direction of the Chapter’s and the Division’s outstanding Human Rights Policy resolutions composite: “SELF DETERMINATION OF PEOPLES” at the National Convention, Advocacy Policy Adoption Session, and for his LEAD position in the Chapter and Division. He was conferred with the titles of AMBASSADOR and DIPLOMATE.

 

He earned “AMBASSADOR OF GOODWILL AND PEACE” A ward and  title for organizing PEACE FESTIVAL between INDA and PAKISTAN and for his effort to defuse the war and in attaining peace between them (under the sponsorship of World Federation of the United Nations’ Association, New York and with the blessings of His Excellency Kofi Annan, the Secretary General of the United Nations’).

Besides above, he has achieved numerous Awards from United Nations Association such as:

  1. “EXCEPTIONAL DIPLOMACY AWARD” by UNA-USA SoCal
  2. “DISTINGUESHED ADVOCATE AWARD”, by UNA-USA SoCal
  3. “OUTSTANDING SERVICE AND DEDICATION AWARD”, by UNA-USA SoCal
  4. “UNA LEGACY AWARD” on the 70th Anniversary of UNA-USA by UNA-USA.
  5. “AMBASSADOR OF GOODWILL & PEACE AWARD” BY
  6. “AWARD OF LIFE TIME HONOREE” FROM UNA-USA SoCal

Additionally, he has earned many other awards from other organizations as well globally:

  1. “Civilian Award of Merit” bestowed with the rank and grade of “Commander of Merit of the Companionate” of Merit by HOSPITALLER ORDER OF THE SAINT LAZARUS OF JERUSALEM.

  1. He was COMMISSIONED, CONFERED and HONORED as “KENTUCKY COLONEL” By the GOVERNOR of COMMONWEALTH (State) OF KENTUCKY, USA

His highest achievements were three PRESIDENTIAL AWARDS from three different US Presidents.

He has also served in multiple capacities in Chamber of Commerce, Federation of Chamber, Travel Agents Association, Air Cargo Association, Freight Forwarder Association, Skal Club of Tourism and Trade bodies.

 He had been Independent Candidate in the elections of Karachi Local body and Province of Sindh.

Currently, he is serving as Chair of ADVOCACY for his Chapter in UNA-USA.

He is co-founder, Charter member, Commissioner and AMBASSADOR of Globcal International, a membership cooperative, non-profit International organization and research development commission of independently recognized goodwill ambassadors from embassies, states, cities, and international organizations.

 On April 24, 2023, he is being presented with MEDAL OF HONOR by the ROYAL SOCIETY OF St. GEORGE United Kingdom (under the patronship of KING Charles III).

A born Humanitarian and follows the generations old family’s vision of “SERVICE TO HUMANITY IS SERVICE TO GOD.”

A degree of (PhD) DOCTRATE OF HUMANITY (D HUM) was awarded to him by AMERICAN UNVERSITY For Global Peace, USA.

Besides, he holds an MBA degree from Institute of Business Administration, (Affiliated with Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania) at Karachi.

He also earned Fellowship of BRITISH SOCIETY OF COMMERCE, UK,

He operates his own family’s over 80 years old global businesses of Travel, Tourism, Freight, Aviation, International/General trading, Real Estates, Investments, Finances, Consultancy in General Business/Projects for both profit and Non-Profit in the name of KHAMISANI BROTHERS GROUP of BUSINESSES for over last 50 years. He has travelled worldwide and currently lives in Corona, California with his family.
